You are over by: €632
a month
You clear the income requirement by €632 a month — 127% of what is asked. Consulates read documents rather than calculators, so the file still has to prove it, but this is not the part that will hold you up.
This visa asks for €2,368 a month and lets you keep working. The non-lucrative visa asks for €2,400 a month and forbids work of any kind, including remote work for a foreign employer. They are not alternatives so much as answers to different questions.

Spain’s digital nomad visa is for people who work remotely for employers or clients outside Spain, and its income test is a multiple of the Spanish minimum wage rather than of the IPREM figure the retirement visa uses. That matters twice over: the number is different, and unlike the IPREM the minimum wage rises most years, so a figure you looked up two years ago is out of date. Today it is €2,368 a month for the applicant, plus €888 for the first family member and €296 for each one after.
