Travel Doctor-ES

TravelDoctores is a telemedicine service for tourists, expats and digital nomads travelling in Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile and the Dominican Republic. It was founded by Dr. Pablo J. Rossi, a family medicine specialist licensed in Spain and Argentina, and it connects patients with licensed English-speaking doctors by secure video call instead of a clinic visit.

Consultations are available 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays, and the average time to a consultation is under 15 minutes. The flat fee is EUR 33 per consultation, paid by card, and includes the video call and a digital prescription if medication is appropriate. No local insurance, NIE or SIP card is needed.

Prescriptions are sent as a PDF by email or WhatsApp with the doctor's credentials and medication details, and can be shown on a phone screen at any Spanish pharmacy. The service also issues medical certificates for travel insurance claims and a separate Medical Certificate of Good Health for Spain visa applications.

1. Fill out a short medical form with your symptoms, how long you have had them, your location and relevant medical history. It takes about two minutes, with no registration and no app to download.
2. A licensed English-speaking GP reviews the form and connects with you by secure video call, usually within 15 minutes. You pay EUR 33 by card at this stage.
3. If medication is clinically appropriate, your prescription is sent as a PDF to your email or WhatsApp within minutes, with the doctor's full credentials and signature. Show your phone screen at any local pharmacy.
4. If symptoms do not improve you can request a follow-up, and you receive a written summary and a medical certificate if needed for travel insurance reimbursement.
