Tacs4Expats

Tacs4Expats (Tax and Consultancy Services for Expats) is a firm of lawyers and tax consultants working with international clients in the Costa Blanca and across Spain. The practice has operated under the Tacs4Expats name since 2010 and says its client base has grown steadily since 2013.

The team is led by Manuel Antonio Pérez Manresa, who is qualified in Spain as both an accountant and a lawyer. He graduated from the Universidad de Murcia, has lived in England and holds a master's degree in taxes. The site also names Cindy Horsfall and Begoña Pérez as part of the team.

They advise individuals and self-employed professionals, whether tax resident in Spain or not, on income tax, wealth tax, gift and inheritance tax, transfer tax, VAT and corporate tax, as well as property conveyancing, residency paperwork and probate for families living abroad.

The site describes three stages of working with clients. First, from the moment you decide to make Spain your home: obtaining NIE numbers, opening bank accounts, purchasing property on your behalf, property conveyancing and pre-tax calculations.

Second, while you live in Spain: preparing and filing tax returns, setting up a business, obtaining residency cards, TIE or visas, registering on the Padron, Social Security, certificates, driving licences, wills and buying or selling property.

Third, if you move back or your family needs help in Spain: representing you in selling your property, closing bank accounts, communicating with the Tax Office and completing probate for your inheritors. For probate they say one meeting is enough to gather the information and that the process is completed within about two months, including the change of ownership at the Land Registry and payment of taxes.
